Straight answers
What's this going to cost me?
You get the price before we touch the lock. A service call fee covers getting a tech and the right equipment to you; labor and any hardware are quoted on top of that once we see the job. If the number doesn't work for you, send us away and pay the service call only. We don't do surprise invoices.
How fast can you actually get here?
You get a real time when you call, based on where you are and where we're coming from. Winchester, Decherd, and Cowan are quick. Manchester, Fayetteville, or Altamont take longer. We'd rather tell you forty minutes and beat it than say twenty and leave you standing in a parking lot.
Do you need to see ID?
Yes, every time. Photo ID matching the address, or the registration or title for a car. It's a legal requirement and it's the whole reason you can trust a locksmith in the first place. If a locksmith doesn't ask, that's your sign to send them away.
Can you make a key if I lost every one for my car?
Usually, yes — including push-to-start fobs and transponder keys. We cut and program on site. Some late-model and European vehicles need a dealer-only security code, and we'll tell you that up front rather than after charging you.
Will you damage my door or lock?
Non-destructive entry is the default. Picking, bypass, and automotive tools open the vast majority of jobs with nothing left to repair. Drilling is a last resort, only with your permission, and only after we've told you what replacing that cylinder costs.
What payment do you take?
Card, tap, and cash on site. Commercial accounts can be invoiced — ask dispatch about setting that up.
